I’m trying to connect with you guys a little more over my life, and not just the stuff I make, so, here’s a thing, courtesy of the lovely & talented Ruthie.

1. If you could travel anywhere in time and space, where would you go?

I would be superhappy just to zip around in space looking at things, because there are SO MANY THINGS and I haven’t seen ANY of them.
But since that’s not a destination, and all of the really incredible destinations are probably ones I haven’t heard about, I would much rather come to Cascadia before any kind of European settlement and live with the indigenous americans.

2. What’s your favorite fandom? Or fandoms?

I am a Whedonite (favoring Firefly/Serenity and Dollhouse) but I also have a serious artist crush on Ursula K Le Guin, who is brilliant.  (WHO I MET.  She wished me luck on my novel!)

3. If you were going to recommend one book for me to read, what would it be?

That’s evil, just one.  Well, since I already plugged Le Guin, then I’m gonna say Raw Shark Texts by Stephen Hall.

4. If you could have one pet, from reality or fantasy, what would it be?

A chimp.  And instead of my pet, he would be my friend, and live with me and work with me and go on long walks with me.  I desperately want to meet a chimp because they’re fascinating people.

5. What’s your favorite food? 

Fresh mangoes.  Seriously, they’ve heavenly.

6. You win a million dollars, what’s the first thing you do?

Put at least $900,000 in my money market account.  Because that’s a lame answer, I will say that the SECOND thing I do is pour at least a couple hundred of those dollars into Kiva.

7. Vampire or Werewolf?

Werewolf.  There is less murder involved, also immortality is shitty, ALSO Seth Green.

8. What Hogwarts House would you be in?

Pottermore says I am a Gryffindor, which is pretty cool since people used to call me Hermione.  (Note: I am less awesome than Hermione.)  Also Neville is my hero.

9. Coffee, tea, other, both?

Chai tea with agave and soy milk.  (I drink Celestial Seasonings Coconut Thai Spice every morning <3)

10. Favorite number? Why?

11!  Because 11:11 and also because I have synesthesia (ordinal-linguistic personification). 11, to me, is a mysterious and ethereal woman all in silver-grey.

11. Can I give you a hug?

PLEASE.  I really like hugs.  I also like to give hugs to people who need them, so — if you need hugs, you know where to find me.
