Handmade Herbal Shisha

I first made herbal shisha as a way to enjoy hookah with my friends, without the tar & nicotine that come with tobacco, and all of the additives & preservatives that come with store-bought shisha.  I wanted a more natural, food-grade shisha that produced tasty smoke and was 100% vegan.

I cook my shisha from quality ingredients: whole fruit, whole leaf organic white sage, molasses, organic agave nectar, and vegetable glycerin.  Because there are no added preservatives, I advise that for any storage longer than a few days, you keep it in the fridge.

If you purchase shisha from my Etsy store, you’ll find that it behaves a little differently from what you may be used to.  First of all, I use minimal packaging, and when you open it up you’ll find that you can see the sage leaves and fruit pieces.  All colors are the natural result of the fruits & molasses, nothing added.

When smoking the shisha, bear in mind that it can start more slowly than store brands, especially if it’s cold.  But have patience — once it gets started it will continue producing smoke through several coals.  You can smoke for hours from a single bowl.
